Bared to you by Sylvia Day

Oh my, was I tricked again into believing that this one would actually give me that wonderful feeling and rush of sweet emotions only a middle aged woman would crave.  Damned the reviews. Most of the pages were narrating hardcore scenes allright. The scenario is really not much different from the Shades of Grey. Probably better that Eva seems to have a strong mind of her own. She certainly was not portrayed as the goody two shoes woman I hate so much in the Grey series. This is indeed less nauseating than EL James Grey trilogy, but nope, I will not bear the sequel to this novel no matter how crazy high the ratings would be for it. Enough of a time waster.

NIGHT by Elie Wiesel

It's true story, narrated by Eliezer of his terrifying experience during the Nazis' extermination period. The author is also a Nobel Peace Prize winner...how about that for writing on his personal observations and sufferings. There were descriptions of ghettos in the Jewish town (I think, as it sounds like it) of Sighet,  the furnace fuelled with lie children, men and women, the many nights of travel and running in freezing weather with nothing to eat for days and so on. I chose to read this as I was interested to see things from first hand narration of a survivor. I suppose his motivation is just to share the sufferings of his fellow people. But I think I also read or at least read between the lines somewhere in the early part the book, of his intention for mankind to not ever forget the gruesome experience of the Jews.....on this, I cannot say I like very much.
